Freddie,

Pulled the plugs that came with the set (CK10ES) yesterday after about 1500 miles. the clutch side plug was dark, slightly lighter than a 2 stroke plug. you could actually wipe brown dust off them. the other three were dark for a four stroke. (electrodes and porcelin was a dark brown.) i know i burn a little oil. about 1/2 quart in 1800 miles. I have been running seafoam about every other tank at a 1/2 can per full tank. My question is due to spring ridding, i assume it is ok to run the 9's?? They are warmer and most of my riding from here will be in the 40's. Just checking....... FYI running your kit, your main jets and your springs with the cold air evac kit on this site (oem catch can with hose going up and over filters then to the T)

Does this sound rich to you? should I go down a clip on needles or back the fuel screws to 2 full turns from seated. (now at 2.25) ?? I know you do not tune by plugs.... ;)!

Again your kit kicks butt!!!

P.S. Emerson if you are reading this I can still get yah!!! :tg:

Actually, I do read plugs when needed. Off the dyno and appropriately tuned there is no need to read plugs as long you know what you are doing.

Anyway, if you are burning oil, there is nothing that a hotter plug is going to do for you except resist possible fouling. Nothing will happen to your engine in a harmful way with the 9's except the engine will make less power.
