Mobil 1 15W-50 pours at -40Far and on the hot end you can fry it in a pan and it remains stable while a petroleum based oil of 5W-30 at -40 you will have to squeeze it out of the bottle and it will turn into tar in the frying pan. Here's the key; you cannot compare regular oil to synthetic! There is no comparison! Synthetic does everything better! And I don't want to hear that you can't use it in the RX-1 I have been using this Mobil1 15W-50 in motorcycles and ATV's for the last ten years Yes and it is the automotive blend, and I will use it in my new RX-1 Warrior without reservation First off, you can buy it anywhere, secondly you can get it for $4.25 a QT and third it works very well in the harshest environment for Motor Oil: Motorcycles and ATV's where it is lubricating the Engine, Transmission, Wet Clutch, and Starter Clutch. Will it work well in the RX-1?
YOU BET IT WILL The 15W-50 is designed for High Revving and Hard working engines in harsh environments!
And here's another little tid bit; Harley for years had many buying there oil, and guess what? It's made by Sunoco, Ka Ching!!! And Harley for years said: don't use Synthetic or your connecting rod bearings would skate Well, Harley now offer's there new Tri Syn Oil( Full Synthetic) that can be used in the Engine, Transmission, and Primary for only $8.95 a QT. Ka Ching
Interesting isn't it the bearings don't skate anymore Because Harley is selling it, and I might add at a very good mark up Now here is what ices the cake; if you look at a Mobil 1 container you will see "TRI-SYNTHETIC FORMULA" makes you wonder
