found a programable cdi box, is there any gain, also noticed its got a square piece in the back thats open, you can see the electronis and a chip must be for programing it, has anyone ran these, would have to dyno it to see i guess,just wondering if its worth buying, i think a guy would have to seal up the hole for the programming it, i am sure it would get wrecked in the winter

Since the cdi on a RX1 only controls the ignition curve, I would suspect that you will not gain hp by remapping unless you are running compression mods, etc. You are probably better off working your fueling (jetting) vs your ignition on a stock sled (IMHO).

not sure what you mean reworking fuel for the aftermarket cdi, ignition timing.i wanted it just for the memory on the warmers mainly, i know on hauks vector race sled they reworked the box and got 2 hp out of it
