Has anyone put any miles on a supercharged RX1?
Any problems ? How does the belt drive hold up ? any cracking on the Inter-cooler etc. How about some PICs
Every one is looking at the APEX but how will it work on my RX1 ?

I have a handful of miles on my supercharged warrior. I was running 10 lbs at the track (asphalt) and will be running 7-8 this winter. I have had no problems with anything in the kit. All the parts are very well made and I was impressed with the quality. The drive is holding up fine. I don't have too many pics now, but will hopefully be getting more once the snow flies. The only problem I have had is with pressure spikes when letting off the throttle (full open to full closed). I have been told (by MPI) that this is being address, but will be installing a blow off valve to fix it on my own.

It's been since last April that I have reported about my MPI supercharged RX1. You can go to search and type in smoky1111 to see my last report dated April 26th 2005 for details. I have not been out this season as of yet. :D :D

It will work great.
I have had one on since last winter. I believe I have one of the first 10 shipped. They have had some upgrades since mine. I am totally satisfied (and that is an understatement) with it.
Yes, my intercooler did crack. Mac sent me his since he didn't have one in stock to send and I had it the next day. My understanding is that they have modified the intercooler to solve any cracking problems.
I have had no issues with the belt.
I had an issue with a bearing in the first few miles. Mac sent someone to my house to fix the problem. He happened to live a few hours away. This problem is now a non-issue with a redesign they have done.
I can get you any pictures you would like. Just let me know.
The kit is easy to install and very clean.
MPI is taking some heat for the fuel mapping on the Apex's now, but their customer service and warranty is the best from my experience.
Due to this, I have two friends that have ordered the Apex SC.

Thanks ;)! If you have some pics that would be great.
Not exactly sure which way to go I have mine very responsive now , it takes all comers by two sled length right of the line , don't want to lose that with a turbo

Here's the 2 good pics I have at the moment....

Hey there monker....how easy is this to change from 10Lbs. of boost to 7Lbs of boost? Is there some kind of "Boost Switch" or something?

Yup, just swap pullys. I don't need a boost switch for my riding. In my opinion, having one is a good way to get in trouble anyway. If I line up and can't beat a sled with 200 hp, I'm not going to flip a switch and try again, risking my engine in the process. If I need the extra hp, I'm going to set everything up for it. That would be changing the pully, clutching, and fuel.

I didn't get any pictures for you. But if you tell me what you would like to see, I'll take any you want. I'll be working on the sled tonight or tomorrow and can do it then. The pictures on MPI's site are pretty good overall pictures.

I'll second what Monker said ;)! If your operating at 7.5 # boost and have a tank full of pump gas you can't just hit a switch and endanger you motor...At 10 plus pounds of boost and a stock motor you must run some race gas

Thanks Guys...the gas Octane rating would be my only concern. Up here, where we ride, SUPER Pump gas is typically only about 91 Octane. Is that safe to run? Do you absolutely need to run 93 or higher?

If you have ever ridden Northern Ontario you know what I mean. The gas is questionable at the best of times.

I guess this is what I mean when I say I would like to SC a trail sled.....it really is a Trail Sled!
