I'm just wondering what these RX-1 turbos are going to do at 21-23lbs of boost! Climax, your sled runs awesome at 17lbs. I expect the RX-1 turbos at this years shoot out will be untouchable.
EVOLUTION, I guess our Yami's walk alittle taller and aren't so hairy, coming out of the caveman time period.

Climbmax, I hate to put you on the spot but I'm sure you've seen many turbo setups perhaps you could share your experiences with us on what turbo set up in your opinion has proven to work out the best overall for the RX-1?
There are many of us on the fence with the turbo issue. Nitrous is more in my price range but it's a boost with a very limited duration. I'd love a turbo but if Yamaha is going to offer one from the factory for their 40 year anniversary of selling snowmobiles and I can get a four year waranty then deal me in.
Specifically, I'd like to hear your preference on front of rear mount, intercooled or non intercooled and ease of installation of specific setups. How about support after the sale and potential to increase the boost (power) as our two stroke buddies drain their bank accounts trying to keep up?
If you feel that answering any of these questions on a . I hoepublic forum may damage any relationships please respond by PM. I honestly would LOVE to know the answers.
Thanks for making us all proud on the videos!

No problem........the riding and hanging with my riding pals was the best part.
Far as Pro's and Con's. That is defiantely a tough question. Front and rear both have pros and cons. I have had both and like both.
Front mount........small fuel tank but great holeshot. The underhood heat is not an issue to me as I run many vents and always pull the hood for the nutty stuff. You are somewhat limited to Hp due to Turbo size with smaller area to work with......but most will be happy with 200-240 hp.
Rear mount...........larger rear turbo unit so more hp on standard kit. Delay involved but it is only minor and can be clutched around. Retain large fuel cell capacity.........important to most. snow to air intercooler seems to work very well.
Bottom line.........any type of turbo is going to put a big smile on your face.......the next question is when can you get one...........most have back orders to fill now.
Happy boosting!!!!
