just can back from CLEMINA and ALLAN CREEK in bc.we are learning my son and i that the smaller and simpler the changes we make the better off we are.we think the yamaha engineers we pretty close to being bang on.so here is what happened.we got the new float bowls on warranty, changed the carbsprings to yellow 4000-8000 feet and put the rev powderski's underneath this monster.and it monster it is.we ended up at the hillclimb at ALLAN CREEK and were challenged by some guys to make this heavy sled climb.i personally don't think weight is an issue after this weekend anymore.my son took his sled to the top and did it rip right over the crest with no loss of rpm.it was running at 10000.there was a vertical escape with a 159 track and nos he couldn't make it over the crest without using it.my son all decked out weighs about 240lbs and killed this sled.needles to say we were very excited totally different from last year.sometimes however there still is a bog and we wonder if it is lack of airintake.it was about 0 degrees celsius if it would be -10 degrees there would be more airintake because air contracts,so more oxygen, maybe anybody has any ideas about that.also on the way down we noticed our sleds running at 10900 rpm.torque and hookup are incredible and the ski's are something else.i think we are inches away from making this a killersled.we wish everybody safe and fun sledding.paparattler

That is so good to hear. I have heard that oen thing that helps a ton is to run a 39 or 41 helix. What did you run for weight in the primary, and what degree on the secondary? I just ordered a new skid, tunnel and 159 track, might have to rethink this a little. Where are you from, we are going to Revy on the 18-21, got room in the truck, and on the trailer if you want to go.

paparattler, yes it is a killer sled

I am suprised you are both running 10900 rpm on stock RX1 mountain. I have not seen one turn over 10200 rpm without mods. What elevation were you at? How much RPM increase did you see after installing the yellow springs?

Glad you had a good time :!:

we are from the westlock area and we are going to revy jan 1-jan 5.everything so far on the primary and secondary is stock.we have thought about doing some tweaking with pink, pink, pink on the primary with 89l's and silver for the secondary.but are a little hesitant because we do some homeriding and this way you have to watch for overreving at the westlock elevation.so if we are going to use the sled for the mountains only we might do it.but like i said before i have the feeling this sled is not far off,i'm 6 foot 9 inches and weigh 250 lbs and this sled was hauling me everywhere i wanted to go the last two days i just couldn't believe the performance.paparattler

I knew that those machines are capable of every things, only the driver can't. mes félicitations les gars

rpm increase

hi ski-bum,was busy the last couple of days but in answer to your question, elevation at the parking lot is 3500 feet and we sledded up to 6500-7000 feet.the sled would rpm to 10800-10900 on the rail and hardpacked snow.the sled would hold rpm at 10000 while sledding in powder and sidehilling.you probably read my comment about the rev powder ski's.the flotation is superb and i had them installed for 400 canadian.and outgunning that new vertical escape was the icing on the cake.paparattler
