i'll keep it simple for ya lol if you set the free play in the flipper it will fix your problem since you adjusted your throttle cable to eliminate the freeplay

If the throtle cabl is set to tight, the one on the carb will not be seated, and the tors will activate. Like I said, poor wording on my part, I never run with out my tors connected and working properly. Sorry for he confusion. Maxdlx
There was no confusion. You were just mistaken about the way the circuit is wired. You suggested that the switches both need to be in the same position for TORS not to activate. That is not correct. The way it works is that *AT LEAST ONE* of the switches must be CONNECTED in order for the circuit to be complete. If they are BOTH DISCONNECTED, that is when TORS activates... i.e., if the engine-side switch is connected, then the throttle plates are in the closed position, so no need to TORS. If the flipper switch is in the closed position, then you are squeezing the throttle and WANT the thing to go fast. If they are BOTH DISCONNECTED, then something is stuck because you have let off the flipper, but the throttle plates are still OPEN.
Note: some of the newer sleds use the TPS on the engine side instead of an on-off switch. Throttle position has to be below a certain threshold when the flipper switch is in the "disconnected" position.

Problem solved! It was the TORS, i loosened the throttle cable cable and put the 2-3mm of free play back in it. Not i hitch all weekend long other than my speedo sensor is shot now.
