New to the TY site and four-strokes, just switch species from an XLT Polaris to a Warrior. Bought my sled this past summer and just getting ready for the season here. I did some searching but I couldn't find anything. What do you guys recommend for skis, I bought the sled and I have a pair of Powder Hound Slydog Skis that got thrown in on the deal along with the stock skis. What do you guys recommend for best handling and riding, I ride about 50/50 on trail and off trail. Thanks alot.

put the powder hounds on it. i personally do not know how they handle but i am shure they will float better off trail over the stockers. i run curves myself and they are a huge improvement over the stockers.

I have the Slydog trail skis on my Warrior. They work great. I put Bergstrom triple points on them. I also set the toe to 1/8" in.
Big difference in the way the sled handles. I don't know how the wider powder hound will be on the trail, but will give lots of floatation in the powder.

I run a set of Yamaha mountain skiis on my 151" warrior and they work great off trail!
On trail, they feel exactly like the stock skiis (which some guys say suck, but work ok for me).

I run Slydog trail skis on my turbo sled, they are still a bit wider than the stockers and float a lot better off trail. Do not add any ski-savers to them, I got way too much push with the ski-savers, this may depend on what wear bars you run. I ran what the skis came with from Slydog, their recommended setup did not work for me, removing the ski savers helped a lot reducing push thru corners.

I rode mine 200 miles with the stockers, and had Rich bring me a set of razors to Muni, the stock darted terrible. I switched to Powder hounds as Viper Dave had them on his Attck, and his skis would always stay on top of the snow while the razors sank. JMO Maxdlx
I have a set I ran on my apex xtx, they work great, I installed dartless plates for no darting. The only drawback I can see with these skis is they float so well that they dont penetrate deep enough to give a solid bite in a hard and fast corner. For most normal trail riding they were great.
I still don't like the exposed front of the carbide on these skis, as well as curve, and c+a. grind the front of the carbide tapered more will help.
