RX1 Larry's Sled on the Gas! Pics!

you guys are unbelieveable, lol, They can both be riden as trail sleds. clearly the turbo has more top speed but to even think a Nitrous sled can get that close is the amazing fact. Like I said, I have only heard how close the race was so I am not saying anyone won, but, one sled length at those speeds, you are talking thousandths of seconds.

After alot of challenges with our sled it finally paid off today the clutching was better than anyone could have hoped for with no prior testing. Phil has one of the fastest rx1 in michigan and according to our spotters it was too close to call. We all have our opinion and we have a right to that and hope with some tuning we can run again. We ran against a super charged rx1 and won, the machine was hauling, Back in Black!

That is only a stage 1 S/C making 10 pounds of boost (230hp) with a 121 inch track with trail stud's, and not lightened up at all. When you raced Joe on my sled, I was standing at the finish line with the cam corder in hand, watching you get him by only one sled length. If you don't believe me, I will for sure try and get the clip on here. Now we all know pretty much just how much spray you were using to go as fast as you were, so before you come on here and say you were beating us, look at what you have and look at what we have. You should have beaten us by whole lot more......................

Just so you know (not to argue)..1 sled length is about a tenth...and a tenth in real racing is a fair margin. In grudge racing with no staging 1 sled length might be close..I dunno.

For stock yes. There wasn't another stock sled there as fast as mine. there was one Black gt that I was putting 5 to 6 sled son everytime. That'e witha over tightened track and a Primary i couldn't get to shift out.

So i was happy.


I would love to get a SC. i liked your's a lot!!!

thay weren't running reds out there either, so 1/10 sec. could VERY easily be reaction times running off yellows. just stating facts not starting anything as i believe all the modded sleds were running good

I know Phil's sled goes..I've seen it on a real track. It would be interesting to see both sleds on a good timing system and see that actual difference. It's alot easier to tune when you know what you're up against.

And you don't need lights or a windshield to be a trail sled...you'll just be cold and dead .

We will ahve timers. At the event I'm putting on In October. I will get acctual times these sleds run and post them if Both Guys Show up.

lol! we are having some fun here. I would like to say Thanks for all the compliments on the sled. I have a great deal of respect for Phil, Howard and the gang and appreciate all the help over the years. I never claimed to beat phil and some of us must have photo finish eyes because when we lead the race to within feet of the finish running that fast thats what you would need. It was a close race and thats all I have to say about that race with Phil. Berville was a run What you Brung Race when you want to talk about trail sleds vs race sleds go to the sanctioned races.
