Rx1 warrior suspension clunk

What kind of a difference would it make in the ride and ride height of my sled if i were to get a mono shock skid? i have found one out of a 06 rage guy wants $650 for the complete skid with the cable and dial is this a not bad price? and what kind of job would it be to install this on my 04 warrior?
As always thanks for the answers and ideas awesome site.......

The guys with the Warriors say it is the Control Rods making the noise. There is a Teflon spacer in the control rod. Consequently, the thud versus a metal to metal clunk makes sense. I am just not sure why the Warriors do it and the RXes do not. ??

mine does it as well and i discovered that the thinner nylon washers on the upper side of my transfer rod where gone while changing the slider plastic this week. bros went missing on his viper as well. checked all sleds thouruoly before we went to jan muni ty ride and all where there.

Its not a metal on metal clang its just a clunk. It almost acts like there is to much compression valving, and the skid comes up to quick and it clunks when the travel hits its highest point. Paul

i just think it is the front limiter straps snaping tight. takes a pretty big hit to bottom the front olins in my skid and i can rotate the spring by hand.

its the transfer rods. When I got m warrior the oise drove me to run along side while someone else rode it. They come to the top and clunk every bump. There now you all know I am nuts. LOL

Its definitely the transfer rods..my sled does it as well, but only at very slow speeds in "stutter" bumps.

The main thing to do to minimize this annoyance, be sure that your transfer rods are correctly adjusted. Sit on the sled, and have someone check the gaps on either side of the rod...make sure they are even. Adjust as needed.

Mine was really bad when I first got the sled, but after some fine tuning, I was able to almost eliminate it.

Finally got my sled out today and noticed the same sound going over rough ground.Got to be the transfer rods. :o| .
