RX144

looks real good, im thinking about making a 05 warrior 144 with the mono shock skid for next year , let us know how ity works out for ya, also race a warrior and see if the top end is effected

I think I actually gained top end (due to the lower approach angle), but need to borrow the radar again to find out for sure. Also a problem with finding some place with the right snow conditions for a long enough stretch.

Having not made ANY changes to the clutching or motor, it seems to be revving about 400 rpm higher than before at the top end. I plan on playing with the HH's next week, I'll be up for sledding for 9 days starting Sat.

I don't think I would want to stretch the mono skid... the rail looks real thin at the back.

You can get a picture of the stock rail from yamaha-motor.com. Very thin. There is NO aftermarket rail for mono skid at this time since the aftermarket makers haven't had the opportunity to measure and test.

BTW: 05 warrior has the same old skid. Its the 121" that gets the new skid. Also mountain sleds get new skid.

i realize that about the rails but im sure mpi will have some for fall. amd i know that the 05's skid is the same as the 04's, what i was thinking of doing was buying a er and going to a 144 that way id be one of the only 144 warriors with that skid

It remains to be seen whether or not the skid is adaptable to 144". There may be some issues with adding torsion, and there would *definitely* be some issues with shock and spring availablility to tune it for being relocated towards the back. The torsion skid would probably be more suited, maybe something from an 05 ViperM, which is already a 144" skid.

I know that I definitely need a different main spring with my setup, something with a slightly higher initial rate, and a MUCH lower final rate.
