My girlfriends dad has a 2006 ZR 900 and Im just wondering how my '04 RX1 will stack up against it. I know he has some mods to it like clutching and its picked. My sled is stock right now but I have an ECP kit on the way and Im gonna pick up an Ulmer stage II. What do you guys think, worth a try or will not be able to touch him.

You'll get him if setup right.
Set up and length of race are key. I have several run ins with 900's under my belt and they can be fast off the line but I will usually freight train them on a long run.
500 ft may be a problem. you need to really work on the weight transfer. The launch is the most important part and with the old pro-action suspension it is a lot harder to dial in to the conditions compared to the mono-shock.
Good Luck
