What is everybody using here? I bought the Yamaha one and the is no room in it at all very small. I need one big enough for a 4 day trip. Please post what you have as well as pictures and websites links.

Thanks

I use the Sport luggage and a tankbag. Pack everything in ziplock bags and squeeze the air out of them. Carried enough socks and undies for 5 days. I also stuck my loafers and a pair of Levis in the nose under the hood. Gave me a nice pair of jeans and shoes to wear when we went out for dinner LOL!

They are made by Yamaha. Look like this

I've have used the same set on my Warrior, then Nytro and now my Apex. They have held up great. They fit the best on the Warrior, but fit fine on the Apex. They are very secure and they have a lot of space.

I had 3 pair of thick socks,3 pair of boxers , 3 shirts, light fleece jacket, swim trunks, shorts, sweat pants, pair of sneakers, extra gloves and a hat with room to spare.

I run those saddle bags plus the Yamaha trunk bag (sits on top center).

My experience with those saddle bags wasn't all that good for durability at first though. I found as soon as the suspension bottomed out a few times, the rivets holding the main strap started to rip through the foam bag. Mine jut used small rivets right into the thin foam so they were very easy to pull through. I don't know if Yamaha improved them by adding some sort of backer on the rivets, but I know several guys who bought the same bag when I did and everyone has had the rivets pull through.

The solution I used was to cut up a piece of thicker plastic or leather to use as a backer and to then use large OD aluminum rivet backers on top of that. I haven't had any trouble since and these bags do hold quite a lot.

We will often ride for 9 days straight and between these bags, the trunk bag, the actual trunk and the windshield bag I can "just" carry enough. This year we're talking about doing a 17 day trip, but I expect we'll be doing laundry mid-trip (along with an oil change).

The first time I did a three day trip I just used a backpack...didn't work out bad. I now have the Yamaha sport saddle bag. I like the sport bag setup because it do NOT cover the exhaust pipes. The sport bag also has three compartments....good for three or four days. I guess if I was going for a week I would use both.
