safe operating temp

First ride today on the new viper. When riding temp seems to be staying at 165. When I stop and idle, even for two minutes temp starts to rise fast to 190 or higher. Running in 6-8 inches of fresh powder.
Is this normal for the sled? Even riding for 1/2 mile on a logging trail the temp gets north of 180. Only have 100 miles on it now. Want to make sure I don't have a cooling problem.

they all are like that. your good. its more noticeable now that you can see it digitally. just a bar and you wouldnt notice.

Thanks. I see the light will come on at 220 or so. Just wanted to make sure.
