SC10II Suspension for rx-1?

My 98 SRX is having some major issues in the rear skid, so i was thinking id take the skid out of the rx and put it in the SRX. Only issue is finding a updated or better suspension for my 03 RX1. I know everyone is using the M10, but i was wondering if the sc10II out of the MXZ's is an option, or if its even better and worth my time. They seem to be very plentiful and in my price likings. that swap will be an upgrade, almost anything is an upgrade over that skid. might want to look for higher rate springs for the sc. measure mount points from doner sled, distance back and down from tunnel. do a search on this site under aftermarket skid forum as im quite sure the info is posted.

Rockmiser put a sc3 in his sled last year and I'm in the process of doing it my self.

I'm working on the layout right now I have a Warrior witch is a 136 I bought a sc3 from a 2005 adrenalin 800 and that is a 121. I'm getting custom extensions made for it right now to make it back to a 136.

go with the doo skid... you will not be disappointed, not to bad of a install either.

Is there a big diffrence beetween the scII and scIII. Ive been reading up alot but noone seems to answer that part.

i also have an 06 mxz with the sc4 skid... much beter than the sc3. if you have the opportunity go with the sc4 . much beter ride

Get yourself some good gas shocks valved to the weight of the rx-ton with that doo skid... It makes a huge difference imo...think snow!

put that skid in your SRX and go to a swap meet for $300 buy a mono out of an 05 or later. Een if you send out the parts to beef em up you'll only have $600 in it and it will be awesome. I upgraded my old 03 and with a bit of tuning it was untouchable. the only parts you need are the mounting brackets for $110 from yami and the rivet holes line up to the existing ones in the tunnel - no guess work. 3 hrs to swap out. secd the arms to Weltracer- Half baked coatings on this site and have them beefed up and powder coated for $195 and your set.

I would say definatly go with the Ski Doo SC10 3 Rockmeister has a great write up on it and im working through it myself also and will prolly be putting a walk through for anymore info myself! theres plenty of us on here doing it so with our help and Rockmeisters walk through steps its almost a bolt in upgrade. If your looking for extensions CBPerformance is cutting a set of them for a few of TYmembers right now with a custom 6 degree tip up like in Rocks write up!
