I've always run the "coat hanger" type scratchers in the past.

I'll be installing some scratchers on my 14 XF7000ltd this season.

I can't decide whether to stick with the "coat hanger" style. Or go with the Dura Flex cable type.

What type do you prefer?

Duraflex so that you don't mangle them when you back up by mistake with them out.

Yep destroyed several sets on wire ones backing up. Now I use the cable type.

The Duraflexs are awesome i will never go back to the other style.

The dura flex type are good for backing up. God knows I've destroyed a few of the wire type but I don't think you can beat the wire ones for actual down pressure and "scratching ability"

Went on long cross country ride with a group once and got on some pretty hard and icy conditions..
Those of us with the wire scratchers were fine but 2 in the group with the dura flex type were overheating bad.
I had a spare set of the wire scratchers with me as I had the tallest lug at 2.25 and new if I lost a scratcher I would be in trouble.
We put 1 scratcher on each of the sleds with the dura flex type and they were fine for the rest of the day.
In saying all that I have a set of blizzards (dura flex type) to go on my sled now. I have the wire ones on my sled now and plan to use them for back up if the new type don't do the job.

I tested the duraflex scratchers on my xtx viper last season and they worked really well. I sell them for $75 a set.

Thanks. I'll be in touch shortly.

This variation is interesting too.

The duraflex have replaceable ends which is handy if you forget to put them up when loading sleds on a sled deck..........................

OH! Forgot to mention I have several come loose so locktite is a must when installing scratchers.

My favorite stretchers are the ones that never need to be deployed ;) I do run the coat hanger type and they made it through last season but I don't use them often either. I think the duraflex are the best.

I deleted my radiator so I need the scratchers.

Better on the ski's or on the rails? I am going to get a set of Duraflex ones.

The cable type for sure, have several sleds with them and would recommend. The more forward the better. I like them on the ski's

I have the cable style on my Nytro, mounted to the sway bar. Works awesome :)
I have them mainly to prevent hyfax wear as I don't usually have overheating issues. It's cold enough in Norway :)
