SD-26 help/opinion needed

During a ride I had SD-26 pop up on my gauge, did 215km back to truck and code never went away, till today as soon as I turn the key to the on position the code pops up.

Had a forum member NO1B4ME do a leak down test and looked over everything and all seems to be good, Yamamarc has sent me his personal flasher but it’s stuck up somewhere in the shipping process ..

Big tanks to NO1B4ME, Yamamarc and hellflyer for there help with this issue.

Sled runs good even though code is always there. I have the 240ss tune. We switched the 3 bar map sensor with another one and still same thing happens with code always flashing. I’m itching to ride but don’t want to take the chance not knowing if sled is running lean or not.

Any thoughts to this code ??

Are you venting the oil tank to atmosphere? If not, hose are clog whit #*$&@....:-/


Clean everything, oil tank to atmosphere or rov bybass and i bet problems solved...

My first ride on my new to me 2020 sidewinder was in Temicaming Quebec, after the first day I noticed a bit of oily water in my air box.. after that ride I took out the oil line going into the air box and made it vent to atmosphere..

My lines are all clean..

Pretty disappointing I shipped it 2 day priority last Monday!!!!

Don’t stay home for that code, ride that thing! Make it boost hard couples miles. Code will went away . Sd26 is usually moisture in sensor that froze. If you ride it at low speed in vaccum it is worst for this code.

you have enough protection in your ecu to not stay home!

sled run well? I think you are gonna be able to erase it with the flasher!

Yes sled runs normal..Yes the code is always on, even just with the gauge on the code is there flashing.. I’m patiently waiting for the flasher to show up..

Just got back from a 1,400+ mile trip in Maine. Mine was flashing sd-26 all week. When I shut the sled off at trail breaks code gone, when I rode to close to my buddy leading in his snow dust, code back or put my thumb in it code back. Stopped at a Cat dealer about the code. He told me don't worry about it, ride it. Other then sd-26 and my heated seat not working after Wednesday sled ran like a champ.

In my case since the second the code popped up it hasn’t gone away..
Also I was leading for the hole ride so it can’t be snow dust..
Did the cat dealer give you any reasoning to why he would say just ride it.
I’ve been told by two tuners not to run the sled until I delete the code.

If you hold full trottle over 5 sec that code will go away.
