Seat issue on 06 APEX - loose seat

Never said it was a hard job. Maybe you didn't read the entire post. Maybe I never noticed the play side to side in the front like others were saying, but I am doubting that. I know I didn't feel it when riding it. I notice everything when riding. The bars can be off a C hair and I pick up on it. So, don't say anything until you remove yours. This odd play factor may happen to you.

Both times I've replaced my donuts I re-installed the seat twice because it seemed loose. Both times I checked and sure enough it was installed correctly. I guess until you remove it you dont realize how much side to side play there is in the front.

Hey, Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I guess it must just be as simple as that! Yamaha should have made 2 knobs on the under side of the tank area where the seat slides into in order to avoid the side to side action. Maybe on the 2011-2012 models they have.
