Seat kit for Nytro

It is some vinyl, foam, plastic and a couple supports. Could not cost more then $50 bucks including time and materials. Multiply that by three and that is good margin for Skinz, then double that and the retailer is making good money. That is 300 bones total.

Snowmobile companies know who they are selling too and majority of sledders make very good money. So they go after that money. I am so sick of some of the costs that aftermarket companies are asking for there products. It is ridiculous. Compare similar products to other close industries. Exhausts for example. Complete system for a sled cost you well over a grand not including a fuel controller. Similar product in the ATV industry, 600 bucks and 250 for a fuel controller. The thing that gets me is that exhaust for the ATV is brand name, proven results on dyno's. Not a can bought at crappy tire with some mounts added to it.

Our seat mod kit is only $199.99, right now I have a few extra that the manufacturer made too many foams and cut me a deal, so offering them at $175.00 shipped US or Canada for the extra 5 I ended up with.

I have got the Skinz seat so - obviously - I did not hesitate to spend the $550 plus shipping across the pond...
My main reason is the weight reduction. The total weight of the Skinz seat is 2785 grams. It is replacing standard parts at 5500 grams (exhaust not considered). I can not give too much feedback about riding performance right now as I am in the middle of the install, but at least the build quality seems to be quite alright.

Man,it would look different to have the hood and the seat,But for around a 1,000. Thats a little too much for me

Already have the hood...and it is the single best mod you can have for a boosted sled...

These sleds have a venting issue, they just BLOW heat up, even non boosted (trip the IP vent from Oft for yourself to see how much) and with Boost, I no longer have belt issues, or melting plastic etc.

boost builds a HUGE amount of heat, and IMHO, this is not an option, it is a HUGE value add...

Here is a pic pre-seat mod...

Mtdream, that is one awesome looking sled!!! I know it is a cost/ profit issue, but if only Yamaha would build a mountain or flatland sled like that! Everyone around here is drooling over the new 800 e-tec. If only yammy would build a monster to outgun the doo.By the way, drove a 500 Snopro yesterday. Even considering the small engine, what a piece of junk and I'm an ex-Cat man.

Absolutely OT here, but can you be a bit more nuanced-what did you concider as junk? I´m allso an ex-Cat man, and eaven if there would be a cold day in hell before i go back as things are today, i read the veridicts very careful since i think the SnoPro looks so cool. If i got the money and know-how i would buy one of those, throw the engine out and replace it with a boosted Nytro engine

The single most thing i love about my Nytro must be the engine-tryed a boosted Apex today and gotta say that i was a bit dissapointed, mutch more fun-factor in the Nytro as i see it!
