Is there any special type of paint to use. I see some of you guys paint your seats. Does it crack. I just want to put YAMAHA on my Phazer seat.

I painted my seat last year because everybody said it was 'so easy' and 'lasted a long time'....what a mistake!! It looks nice right after you paint it, but within a few hundred miles the plyable material cracks the paint. And yes, I used the recommended paint.

My suggestion is to leave well enough alone.

I have nothad one problem. It looks like the day I painted it.I used a different vinayl paint then what guys used on here.

LMAO....

you probobly used a vinyl coating instead of a vinyle dye..

The stuff i used is garanteed not to crack or peel ever.. it was $23 a can and soaked into the fabric instead of just coating it..

Mine looks great,, and you could jump up and down on it all day and it willl still look that way..

I like to get a can ?
need name and web

This is really bugging me now. I’ve been looking for this mystery paint for over a year now. Would somebody please read a paint bottle? Thanks! lol

Dan

the stuff i used is called CLASSIC COAT by SEM i got it at a DUPONT paint store..

it is vital that you purchase the cleaner to clean the area to be painted, if it isnt clean it will not stick.

I found the can I used it still 3/4 full.

I bought it at automotive supply,it's made by

SEM

it's Color Coat
Flexible Coating
Changes or
renews color on most flexibale &
rigid plastics,carpet,vinyl
& velour

so do you guys use a template of some kind to keep the letters straight? where could a guy find something like that?

I would contact my local graphic and sign shop, have them print me a "paint mask" of what you want in a self adhesive vinyl. that's the best way. ;)!
