Im putting on a WRP seat and to take the old seat off (strap holds cover down) I had to take the aluminum foiled heat shield off, it is held on by large head rivets.

Looking at the parts diagrams it doesn't show the bottom of the seat pan, does anyone know what the size is of these over sized rivets??

I am thinking this from Fastenall will work:

Diameter 3/16" Length 0.575" Series SSBL6-6S (Stainless Steel) Head Button - Large Flange

Any thoughts??

Thanks ~ Phil

Why would you have to take that off? I have removed piles of seats and have not had to remove anything riveted down. What sled?

Hi its a 06 Rage, the straps that hold the back edge of the seat cover down go in under that heat shield. The seat cover was still good and I could not see a way to get it off without cutting them unless I took the heat shield off, I could then un stick them from the plastic seat base and save them for the seat cover in case I ever wanted to go back to it...

I see what you mean. Usually the bigger flat headed multi Grip work the best.
