Got to chime in here. I have an 08 vector GT 121 with 1500 miles on it.(demo)
Went for my 1st solo ride tonight(no other sleds along) and had a chance to do some tuning.
Took the transfer from full to almost 0 and this sled stays down in the corners much better now.
I get more track spin ,but the trade off is worth it. This sled has so much torque that I think you need to feather into the throttle more than some other sleds you may have had in the past..
The mono transfers well.
I am 230 and have the preload @ 2 less than full.
How do you tell what setting the spring shim is at?
I assume it is @ the front of the spring.
Can the shim be changed in the avg. garage or do I need to take it in.?

snoway,
Are you referring to the clip position on the spring?
If so download the attached pdf file.
I made a tool to collapse the spring to change the clip position. Some guys use binder straps but I am a little too fond of my fingers.

thanks, BRB, that helped alot!
I assume the shock has to be on the bench to change the clip setting.
Do I need to pull the susp. or will the shock come out easily while still in the sled?

I adjusted the transfer rod from the factory setting (2 marks from max) to 2 marks from minimum transfer and rode about 80 miles today. What a difference! The ride was about 75% groomed trail and 25% off trail in 8" of fresh, fairly heavy snow. No inside ski lift and way less darting.

snoway 1 I went to advance auto and rented a coil spring compresser for cars and it worked great, compresses spring about 3/4 inche and moved clip to second position and I was done, made a big improvement on ride and bottoming out on my 08 vecter ltx
