Can someone give me a quick measurement on the secondary shaft alignment please.
I just did all my bearings and I would like a measurement from the end of the secondary shaft (secondary clutch) to the collar. Thanks, just for conformation so its not wrong in my mind.

I have my jackshaft now and planned on tightening the lock nut for the clutch side bearing with the shaft on the bench. I measured 3.909" from the end of the jackshaft to the collar/inside race of the bearing.

I think you want to torque the big nut in the chaincase first then tighten your locknut on the clutch side jackshaft bearing! This also applys to your driveshaft bearing on the clucth side. Get your chain and gears on torque the upper nut and lower bolt then go to the clutch side! Doing it this way will align everything without guessing! Hope i understood your question and this answers it!

Thanks for the heads up on this, doing the bearings this week and I'm wondering how do you get the lock nut of the clutch side?
Thanks

umm I used a modified spanner wrench (shock wrench) to hook on to the collar. then take the secondary turn it around place it on the shaft and spin it counter clockwise. you will need a good grip on the collar before you spin the secontary. It should loosen off then spin the collar with your fingers.
