I got a e-mail from them regarding 87 and boost and they said use thier chart based on 91 and if you use 87 subtract 4 from all the values and your ok, they said 32 oz in 20 gallons of 87 will equal 91.
Guys I think this stuff should be used as a back up not a permenat solution like race gas, I set up my sled for premium but if I get caught in the woods with only 87 available this stuff will be in my bag and looks like I can get by being smart and easy on the throttle till I get into some better gas.
This makes me feel better as the more you use the more octane you get so even on days when were playing on the lakes on long pulls, etc I'll dump some in to give a little reassurance.

I am sure the stuff works just like a brand called Aces. On my outbourd 2 storkes i cut the heads in the off season. They were 150psi took all 12 of them to 175PSI. Added the Aces like i was told on 93 and about 30 secs later i had two brand new Merc 280s blowen up!! They went about 3 secs apart!! Cost me like $20,000 i will never run any addive again!!! Not saying it does not work but man what a NIGHTMARE!! Could have bought a TON of race fuel for that amount!

And what i did guys have done before on single motor smaller lighter boats! Spinning smaller props! That is less load, LOAD is where DETO lives!! My boat big props, more weight = LOAD = BOOM!!

Exactly why I keep pushing this as a back up in case your stuck with low fuel octane. Being prepared and smart with the thumb should get you to a gas station with good fuel.

Right on my friend!! One motor lost to low octane.... is one too many if you ask me!!!!

Is it better to pull the belt on the s/c if you are stranded and can only get questionable 87 to get you home? I understand the torco will work to an extent but I agree one kaboost due to octane is one too many.

The rx1 mtn that I blew engine was running 9-1 je pistons, 11# of boost and 91 octane just could hold to extreme long pulls.
on 87 octane, 13-15 seconds pulls... and and broke all four pistons.

Sounds like the article agrees with the idea of having a bottle on hand for insurance, but that is just about it. I feel alot better about what my real options are.

I am not recomending this stuff as a substitute but as a bandaid if you cannot get good fuel at a certain location. Obviously a additive is never as good as the real stuff..

to runa boosted sled on 87 straight is crazy. its just like running your boosted car on 87 you wouldnt do it. so if u need to run 87 and lots of places only offer this on the trails then i recomend torco. or just cruise dont get into boost.

Thanks Heath. I'm glad I am running an MPI s/c this year, you guys are very helpful and objective. This resource for Yamaha's is killer. Whoever founded TY deserves a Pullitzer!
