I bit the bullet and ordered 7.5 Stud Boy shaper carbides to go on the inside, will move the OEM 4 inch to the outside.
Now we need SNOW!!

I would not count on OEM carbides staying on. 3of 4 on mine were snapped off without 1 ride logged. I'd keep an eye on them.

Stock only has carbide on the inside bars.

I was wondering if all knew this, one - the outside, never had carbide.
But I think many knew this and were missing pieces of carbide. Who makes the OEM carbides?

Ya the oem carbides are junk that's for sure and the only carbide my dealer has that will fit my sled are yamaha brand name carbides in 4" and 6" but I have no clue if they will be better then the carbides that came with the sled but I'm not going to chance it going to go straight for the shaper bars.

Can anyone verify that the sharper stud boys product #: YAM-S2524-60 will work on the 2015 tuner skis?
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.

I put a pair of theses on my 2015 RTX sled yesterday. Only difference was my part number ended in 45. I assume because they were 4.5 inch carbides. Since your part number ends in 60 I'm assuming those are 6.0 inch carbides....

Alright thanks!! I have the 1.6" ice cobra track on mine, do you think I would be best going with 6" and 4.5" carbides or 6" and 6"?

With studs I'd use the 6 inch. I don't have studs so I went with 4.5 inch. I like the idea of 6 and 4.5 that you suggested.

Has anyone rode there viper with the tuner skis and the 6" carbides on the inside and outside? If so how was the steering effort? I don't want the thing to be to heavy steering but also want good steering. I don't have studs but do have the 1.6" ice cobra track which has them little somewhat like studs in it and don't know if the 6 and 4.5" will be good enough or if the 6 and 6 will be way over kill.

Just pulled my Shapers out of the box. Much more impressive in person! Not sure what I'll do to the outers yet. 4.5" or even zero shapers.
Also really intrigued by the Pilots on my Doo. Interesting having the main runner aligned under the spindle.

First ride with 7.5" shapers along with stock more or less plain bars. By the time I moved the OE bars, one had a single 2" rear insert and the other was bent and had dual 1/2" tabs at either end.
Steering very easy, bite OK, but could be better. I'm thinking of adding 6" shapers to the outer but planning on pulling up the limiter one hole first to see if this helps.

Let us know now you make out when you pull the limiter strap a hole!! Are you running a studded track? I still haven't ordered my carbides yet, was thinking just going with 2 6" per ski even though I don't have studs, just don't want to sacrafice the steering effort.

I ordered 6 in shapers for inside and out for my 2015 rtx se. I also was going to go to 70 psi in the front shocks. I just rode it last weekend for the first time and had no steering hardly at all.
