I went with the Yamaha skid plate. If your going of trail you need some kind of protection under there as one good hit will leave you busted.

What skid plate are you using?
Is the windy that comes on the RTX a low or mid height? All I can find on the website is low and tall. I was hoping to go with the next step up.
This sled comes with the Fox Floats so are you talking about Hygear springs in the rear?
Thanks for the input!!
Yamaha from their web site.

I've heard of Excell coming out with new larger idlers, but I haven't heard of Yamaha coming out with them...any more info on this?

i dont get it
first off, i dont get it. almost everyone on here has read by now that polaris and doo wheels are 1/8" larger, put em on your yammi, and its fixed. kimpex even makes them with the right bearing in them.
so on to list:
1: skis anything besides yami is great. pilots prob the cheapest route.
2: bigger wheels on ur skid to save hyfax, plus 4th wheel
3. tall windshield. (its not THAT tall.)
4. skid plate. skinz or roest.
5. dumbo handgaurd ext. will keep your hands warm
6. oft relocator
7. HIDs.(they're on my list for this season)

Re: i dont get it
Kimpex makes a 135mm wheel with the 6005 bearing? I don't think they do. If they did, everyone would know about it, and Excel wouldn't be making a special wheel. But, I hope you can prove me wrong...
