Im assuming this would work on a nytro also correct?
The website says that battery is $250, but 10.5 lbs. lighter. It also said my battery is 7.3 lbs. lighter & turned out to be 8.75 lbs. lighter. I paid exactly $150 to my door through A-J cycle in Mass. He's trying to get the product moving. My Yam. dealer was $120. I'm going to do some tests this weekend & will report back...

Ive been running a CBR 600 battery for years.. Its like 6lbs lighter than stock.. NO issues

Why pay $30 more?????

There are guys here that have spent $1000 or more to shave 10lbs. or so.( front end kits come to mind) I believe 8.75 lbs. is alot especially off front end for only $30. It may not make a difference, but it can't hurt. Yamaha's WEIGHT has been one of the most talked about & bitched about subjects on this site. Some won't spend $1 more on these already expensive machines; and I understand that. BUT there are alot of people interested in shaving weight & I can't see a less expensive pound for dollar buy...

That's less than $3.50 a pound. If I told everyone here they could drop 100 lbs. off sled for $350; i'd be willing to bet 80% of TTY's would jump on it. Of course I'm exagerating the situation, but if this battery works & people here need a new battery; then this may be up their ally. If not; then I hope those people stop bitchin' about weight...

Most riders complain about the weight while they're stuffing the fried food and beer into their beeks. Most here could stand to lose 25 to 30 lbs., and that could be considered free HP.

I misunderstood, thought he was comparing price for same battery. Definately worth the extra cash! Thinking of getting a couple myself.

What is the number on this battery? Or what year cbr 600 battery are you using?

I believe this battery, which is 8.7 ibs. lighter than stock, is as strong if not stronger than stock. After 1 month & full charge on the stock battery; I put a car battery load tester on them. The stock battery read 12.6 volts & 11.2 after 30 seconds & reading just on edge of "weak". The tester says to hold for 10 seconds, but I wanted a good test. The Shorai started at 13.5 volts & 11.2 after 30 seconds while it read stronger than stock. Both batteries started sled no problem. I recharged stock battery for day & re-did test holding for 45 seconds this time. Stock started @ 13.6 volts then to 11 & same reading. The uncharged Shorai started @ 14 volts then read the same. Voltage actually went up over-night. Both started sled with no problems. I actually started sled with Shorai battery first both times so motor was actually warmed up. This proves that stock battery is actually very good & Shorai seems to be at least as good & actually better. Now COLD will be the real test. Will write back in December...

I picked up a rx a few years back that had a very small battery in it. It was a standard style battery and is still working today as a backup around the shop. It was mounted in the center of the front cast sections between the a frames on the bottom. sure cleaned up everything under the air box.
you might check into mounting it in there. you slid it through one of the holes in the front. You cant get the weight any lower than that.

I will be testing one of these batteries this winter in my Nytro.A friend of mine is a dealer here in Ontario and swears by them in all his jetskis

I love the idea of getting rid of the battery tray and relocating the battery!
