I just installed a pair of Slydog race skis with 7.5" shaper bars on my FX Nytro RTX. When sitting on the ground it appears that the front of the rubber should be shimmed. Did anyone else have to do this? If so, how thick of a shim did you use? Also will ski savers work with the shaper bars?

Thanks

Ski savers work with any carbide. I have never heard of having to shim the front of the rubber. Usually they all need to be shimmed on the back. You want the front of the carbide to be 1/8 in or so off the concrete.

You shim the front on slydogs. Scott at bergstrom told me a 3/8 shim in front. Remember you toe in slydogs a 1/8 inch. i have the ski savers on with the sharpers, Scott told me to round the edges down some for better fitment, but they pulled up just fine with oout it. Give Scott Bergstrom a call, he knows his stuff. Maxdlx
