Shock Revalve Question

For you guys that have had your shocks revalved, particularlly the front Fox Floats, do the shock still seem "sticky" when you push down on the front end while parked still? I currently have an 08 Rtx and if I push down on the shocks they do not rebound back up to the original even after teh revalving was done. The newer Fox Evols on the 2012 RTX's will rebound back to their original position if I push down on them at the dealer. Or did my shocks no tget doen right?

Had mine done by Hygear with the added air canister. I don't recall there being much, if any, sag when I pushed down on it and let it rebound.

How much air pressure in them?

i jsut got these shocks back form being revalved. Shouldn't they bounce back or is this normal for the Fox Floats?

Something is not right.I have noticed after sitting for a more than a week on the initial stroke mine will stick so hard its takes alot to make them compress but after that first push they are fine. There is a special FOX oil in the air chamber that is supposed to help this sticking.

Your shocks it sure seems like no air is in the chambers.Did you put the 75lbs in with skiis off ground?Did the air leak out?

Sled was on a lift when the air was added. I am well aware of that. I checked the pressure several times. This is how the shocks behaved before I sent them in to get revalved and even after getting them back it is the same. Do all the RTX's with the Floats behave this way? I talked to teh guys who did the shocks and they said everything went well and shocks were in good shape.

well you cant go by zekes post, he had hygear do the canister addon, which effectively makes his shock a fox float evol like the one you are comparing to at the dealer.

Evols have Twice the air volume as plain floats.

i spoke with someone aove rat Hygear and he told me this is normal behavior for the 08 shocks and not to be concerned.

It could be the front interacting with the back suspension you are seeing. If whole sled is on ground both front and back will want to find a middle ground to settle at.Cant tell from video if thats what is going on.You could just remove shock and test it by lowering air pressure till you can compress shock by hand.It should come back out smoothly and come most of way out till internal spring stops it.
