Any shock companies sell just the shim stack for do it yourselfers? I can do shocks but definitely am no expert at valving. Have had mine out 3 times now. Improved but still not as good as could be. No time for sending them out since riding everyday. Let me know.

What are trying to accomplish? Do you have any spare parts shocks laying around? Any ACT or Fox valve shims will work. Try adding or subtracting shims on the side of the shock( compression or rebound) that you are trying to improve. I would be careful of going to thicker oil in a snowmobile application. I always use the 5wt Amsoil shock oil. If you have a salvage yard or local Cat dealer around they might sell you some junk shocks cheap for parts( valve stacks) and you can measure what you have and customize from there.
I am in the same boat as you--I can rebuild shocks but am no expert at valving. Luckily I have a bunch of parts shocks and can rob shims from them when I experiment with valving. I revalved my ZX2 skid. It took me 2 try's but I got it to ride like a well tuned Mono shock in the end.
