ok...now I am getting a stage 2 SC from MPI..now should I put the shim in and install the unite..or get someone to do it...I could go to ontario ..but would rather get it done in quebec...goning to run on pump 5-7 and then mix for higher numbers...there would be a blow off valve for trails...any info on the install or what I should get with the stage 2....also new track and mountain tamer.is it possible to run regular gas with a shim...where should i order from..going to order this weekend...the price for an MPI is less out west than here...like a grand...plus tax..how high a bost can you put on a stage 2...with pure race fuel..thanks...jack...

stage 2 with race gas can push high teens I think.. I know somebody running a jacked up stage one kit at 14/15#.. so a stage 2 is good for a bit more.. prolly around 18.

As far as the install goes, I personally think its better, there are a lot of things that are at work and its nice to go throught and learn each of them, but I also think that if you cant fix most of your own issues, you shouldnt be riding one, so I might not be the norm. If you take your time and really do a good job routing lines, and such nicely, you should be all good.

get her done by gforce!!!

they have ton of experience with these blowers from mpi.

Got a buddy that upgraded to a stage 2 from a stage one on a nytro w/ a blow off valve for running premium. He wanted to be able to run high boost from time to time but be able to cruise around on premium if he had to. Anyways we could never get the thing to run right. Even at 16 psi he couldn't pull the same clutch weight that the stage one would pull at 13psi and the intercooler would always be glowing hot. When blowing some of the boost off it was worse (extra supercharger/intercooler work just to be blown off into the atmosphere). At the end of the year he switched it back and it worked great, everything else the same. Best we could figure is that maybe the tiny intercooler couldn't handle the extra air down here. Mpi says they run the stage two over 20psi all day long up at 10000ft and it works great. Although the apex maybe has a bigger intercooler, haven't seen those kits. Just thought i'd let you know if your plan is to run low boost often.

My experience tell me that the more the boost the more difference with a turbo the same boost.

His problem seems similar to what I experimented last winter on my radar sled. (stage 3 rotrex blower) at 20# of boost pulled EXACT SAME clutch setup as at 28# of boost... and I realized this only at very end of season....

Do as mulot30th says, have G-Force do the install.

I looked at these guys last year..and found that the price was If I remeber right was over a grand more..but if the service is there, then fine..do they use everything from MPI..so I should just buy it..then go there..or just go there..does anyone have a sled done buy them..or know of one..was also told there was a guy in chicoutimi that could do it..and is very good..but since i am on this site for info..then i shall go with G-force...thanks for the info and i shall post some pics when the sled is done..

If your mechanically inclined do it yourself. It's just a machine, it's not like your doing brain surgry. Read instruction carefully. I've been running stage 2 for 4 years now did install and head shim myself no issue's. Running 10 psi on 91 octane no problems at 2400 ft. Then I run c12 when I put on the big pulleys. :yam: :die :-o
