Looking for some input on should I turbo my viper or not. Soon as the SideWinder came out I wanted to upgrade from my RTX-LE but I would take a major loss on the viper with only 2100km on it and a pile of money spent on power upgrades like: intake, header, muffler, clutching, and power commanders for fuel and timing. I would like to have 190-195 hp same as the SW and some more speed out of the viper so do you guys think its worth the turbo and gear swap to come close to the SW or would i better off taking the loss and getting the SideWinder?

MPI has the trailer Turbos right now for $2600 http://viper.mountainperformance.com/Complete-Viper-Turbo-Kits_c_13.html, I am sure it will be no SideWinder but its will be fun as hell.

I seen Ulmer has his on sale as well that is what got me thinking a turbo for the viper is much cheaper then a new sled. Anyone with a turbo viper thinking about going to the SideWinder or is there things you love/hate about your turbo viper?

Just sent him a email most of my stuff is his products and they have all be top notch gear I have always been impressed with it.

you are in Canada, yamaha Canada still have stock on MPI trail kits, have your dealer check avail.

I'd put it back to stock sell your add ons and trade the sled in . And maybe consider an se instead of an le , I am but the upgraded shocks would be nice !!

Take the lost and buy the Sidewinder. Also less problems.

How could you say less problems ? Firth year anything models are prone to problems. I have the hurricane turbo on the 15 rtx le and love it. I was even driving it with the stock gears .

I'd say either way you'd be happy but if you don't wanna take.a big hit I'd take a second look at a turbo kit.
