Has anyone had experiance withhow a YAMACHAGER EFFECTS GAS MILEAGE AND DEPENDABILITY? Does it hold up for long miles without
constant tweeking? Does it take away from gas mileage much?

There alot of posts on the yamacharger. Do a search and the feedback is there. I believe I read mileage was close but you always want to feel the power so milage suffers when your in it all the time. By the way speed will always cost you!

I've done alot of reading on it and the only negative I have heard is the mountain guys say it dosn't produce much extra power at elevation. The flat landers are loving it. I'm checking the finances to see if I can pick one up this fall and have it for this season. I think it would be great on our fresh water lakes and groomed trails. Im not a powder or mountain rider anyway. Im at a constant 1200-1600 feet elevation so it should work great for me...

I have about 1,300 mi since the Yam-Charger install, No tweaking/Tuning once installed. It will use a bit more fuel if you run it hard. I think i had the first kit in the US and had several update's since the install. I'am confidant that the bug's are out and i know i can run it hard with out dependability concern's or fuel concern's. I would recommended having it installed unless you are fairly mechanically inclined. You would not be disappointed with one! kviper

Put on around 1780 miles on mine last year ( HARD ) .Changed gearing to race 660 / and 2000.feet....All good....But the longer the better..This system does work !! imo

Any one in MN looking at doing this? We've got Simmons in WI and Ulmers in SD, but both are over 400 miles from me. You'd think somebody in MN would sell these things!

Just do it yourself, the install looks cake and you'll really understand it better once its on the sled!

We'll help you on here to get installed correctly... :rocks:

Not trying to scare any one away from the install but a friend and i did mine and i gave help and guidance with another install and did not think it was to bad however i had direct contact with Danny at G-Force on the updates. I had a few call's over the winter from a couple others that that were having trouble with the install and they said they wish they had paid the roughly $400 install fee. As some of the update's were made the instruction's were not updated at the same time and i know this was some of the problem so i am sure by now every thing will match in a new kit. If you have good mechanical ability's and you are good with wrenches you will probably be ok. I helped several people in the US and even a couple from Canada last winter with install question's so i would be glad to give any one in here help over the phone if you get stuck. kviper

Oddly enough I ask my local Cat dealer(southern metro) and he was willing to install it on my machine.
This guys personal sleds were Yamaha's until he recently got a AC dealer license. I would highly recommend this guy, GREAT service. PM for details.

Ulmer Racing is having a month of August Yamacharger Sale!

Also if you bring your sled to me next week I will do a free installation if Ulmer Racing can use the sled on display at the Hay Days snow show in September! I sold my turn key Yamacharger sled and would like another one to have on display for the show, but I do not have another Apex left!
