Just wondering if anyone has tip for sidehilling on viper my sled is all stock settings and feels light but doesn't ride on one ski like my phaser did I am going to narrow the ski stance but 1 inch isn't going to make a big difference I don't think maybe lowering shock pressure will help ? Thanks

Sway bar disconnect is huge for sidehilling. Lowering shock pressure does help as well. The biggest difference is putting the 38" narrow front end on it.

yep! Put 38 inch front end, find a leftover Cat kit they sold for the 2012 Cat I got one off ebay for 200 bucks. Send floats to racinstation and for less than 200 bucks he shortens them. You can then pull the Viper over in a field, countersteer and ride it on one skis as far as you wish! Makes the Poo guys stop and stare! Didn't effect road handling for us on our XTX at all narrowing it and deleting sway bar, your mileage may vary though.

Biggest problem you have then is pulling it all the way over on you the first time you forget its not a Phazer and yank real hard. (4 times first day)

Thanks for info will start looking tonight does anyone know if timbersled makes a narrow front end for this chasis?

Lookup front ends for 2014 M8 its exactly the same. If you narrow you need to shorten shocks though FYI.

Stingray, the front ends are not exactly the same. The fasteners on the M8 are smaller diameter as they use thinner bolts. The 2012 M8 uses the same as the viper. Same as the spherical bearings on the shocks required for the 38" front end.

Hmmm.....that may be as the kit I bought for the Viper was for a 2012 M8. Now I am going to have to go measure them.

The part number for a 38" front end kit (Black) is Arctic Cat #5639-938. This will fit the larger bolts that the Viper uses.
The kit comes with spacers to shorten the shocks, however they are for going from a 40" front end to a 38" front end.
To convert from a 42" front end to a 38" either requires having the shocks custom shortened or 38" Proclimb shocks which are 17.1" long fully extended.

Thanks mtn viper anyone anyone know the cheapest shocks to fit the 38" proclimb because I would like to keep the stock setup complete for different types of riding or resale. Yamaha should make this kit available for xtx owners because even the 15 xtx is the 42" wide

stage 1 elkas can be had for fairly cheap for a new set. your best bet might be a set of used proclimb shocks though. look on Snowest forum there should be a few sets
