Some guy on a French site said his company does the stickers for the Sidewinder...they where told not to prepare final printing because the side panles where not in there final form, pre production but the final product would be in fiber glass???
is this possible?
is this good, in cold weather??
what is encouraging is the final product will be much better fit and finish then what is seen so far because a lot have commented on the poor fit and finish in the spring shows...
anyone know?

That would be odd, and I can't see that being true at all.

i know, it seems odd, but anyway, might be carbon fibre, cause the guys said fibre... not plastic...

Sounds like a new patent being used. CF reinforced plastic.

would kinda make sense, it would help explain the 10-15# weight loss Cat says it has over the 1100T versions of the same sled. Try out a few body panels on productions sleds for a few years before really going gun ho on a complete chassis. Auto Manufactures do it, the Aluminum F150 for example, they used various aluminum panels on previous vehicles before going all out.

Man this brings back days past on all my old sleds most everything was fiberglass, belley pans were the last to go into molded plastic,at least in Polaris models, and most all hoods were fiberglass,at least you could fix them with a can of tigerhair glass patch, lol cant do that to the new molded plastics, you need a fancy welding machine lol.
