Sidewinder Luggage

Here's the Pro Series Modular Rack. Going to apply the LINQ adapter to this. This rack should add some rigidity (I did see the bent tunnel escapades, but I went for it anyway).

Curious as to how this turned out! I have the same sled and looking for options for fuel and bags. Worried about the bent tunnel as well.

Works excellent. Mounted a bag and LiNQ fuel tank...no problems whatsoever.

Can we see you LinQ mounts on the rack?

Here it is...I used the "stand alone LINQ adaptor plate" with the tunnel mounts - see four corner mount points. It is not necessarily intended to be used with this rack, but I regularly use the 4 corner mount points as another surface to strap down various pieces of gear. For a cleaner look (and without mod), the "LINQ adaptor bracket" is the bracket that is intended for this rack (you'll need to jump on the rack mfg website for reference). Both of these adaptor plates have the LINQ mount locations predrilled for a quick fit.

Thanks for the info on the UNT LMP2 bracket. I ordered it yesterday and the fellow was awesome! He will forward it to Myrtle Beach to my hotel where I'll pick it up next week. That way I save $50 US for shipping +Duty+exchange on both. I can claim it so no worries :). It's only 3 lbs.and will fit in the suitcase easily :)

I purchased 3 different linq adapters to find the best fit .
The UpNorth universal , and the original LMP-1 , and the Whiteout adapter.
I took off the stock tunnel bag on my LTX LE 137 , and installed the bigger removable tunnel bag , so I had space issues .
I decided to install the Whiteout brackets as they allowed me to raise and get the Linq gas tank , as far back as possible, and used spacers to raise it up , so it would not hit the tail light assembly.
I installed the universal adapter , and my stock tunnel bag on my sons AC 6000R , 129 ,as he had no tunnel bag on the race sled and he is the one that always needs gas .
I have attached pics to show , the install on both sleds
And the Yamaha tunnel bag covers the Skidoo logo on the SW.

On a 137 model I would recommend keeping the weight of a fuel Caddy more forward and the storage bag in the rear. I have put over 3000 miles on my winder this year with fuel caddy as close as possible to the front with no issues. (Shown in pic). But we have had 2 customers with fuel Caddys mounted to the rear show signs of tunner wear with loose rivets at under 1500 miles.
Keep that extra weight forward.

You guys carry too much crap when you ride. After 16 years of back pack touring my Wife and I take about 60% of the stuff we used to. We found we were just carrying stuff from place to place without ever using it. After going 4 stroke we got rid of the dreaded gallons of oil in the saddle bags and I don't carry all the tools like I used to. My Wife carries 2 med linq bags and fuel caddy and I carry Yamaha saddle bags and large Doo bag.

Ken is great to deal with at UpNorth.
I also had him ship to a hotel , in NYC , and it arrived while I was there on business .
Save the uncertainty at the border when shipping with higher international courier rates , handling and HST .
For those looking at the new LMP-1 , it is much better than the original for placing on the tunnel , as you need less space ,with the tabs removed and the bolts are hidden.

I agree we carry too much...always bring stuff home I haven't worn. I got my 2 LINQ bags and stackable can today ...along with my Pilot 6.9's Sweet Just like Christmas :) Couldn't find the 3-3/4" SS bolts so I ended up buying 4" and will cut excess threads off. Agree with Sledroll...Ken is a good guy sending to Myrtle.. or wherever!

I like the Yamaha patch you put on. I just ordered mine :) How did you attach...epoxy...I was thinking of Velcro

This is a sidewinder listed exspandable bag, much like the one up top who has a roto pax loaded into it,now I like that idea. Mine is sma-8ly63-00-bk and works good, but the funky steel plate that this cat chassie has to mount the seat to,well cover that spring type plate with tape,or it will wear into bag.

I have the same bags on my Viper and the seat bracket cuts into the bag...I had to put several layers of duct tape on the bag where the seat bracket hits. It had worked a hole through the bag on the first outing. Secondly and worse for me was the hooks that attach to the bumper scrape the paint off the bumper which P... me off. Now with the Doo bags I won't have this problem. I'll call them Yamaha bags once I get the decals on lol...

Snow beast Is there any chance you have a good closeup of your ice scratchers ?
Have a set and not sure where to put them , and how to get them hooked up when not in use .
