Cat and Yamaha ecm is the same. If there was a difference the tuners on here would tell us. There tunes are the same for cat/Yamaha. Why is Ben at TD running sidewinders now but was always a cat guy before? It's the clutches. Watch all his testing videos and you can tell he prefers the yamy clutches. I had several cats the last 6 or so years. Cat factory clutching is horrible, not to mention the throw away clutches. Went through 3 team primarys on my 2016 in 1500 miles and can't replace the bushings in the secondary(disposable). I won't even begin with my 2012. My boosted 2016 cat gained 10mph(109 to 119) in 1000' by going from a factory compression to a torsional setup in the factory team secondary on the same day, same run. Cat's 600 and 800's can't break 100 mph with factory clutching out of the box.
