Sidewinder windshield

This is the one I am looking for. Part # anyone? I've been looking on different websites for oem parts lookup and still nothing posted for sidewinder or tcat.

Ya, what is the problem with these Yamaha Dealers! I go in, they have an SE with that exact windshield but can't tell me how to get it! They have no clue. It shouldn't be this hard to get a part#. Not all the dealers fault but was told Yamaha hasn't released the part #'s yet. Hard to believe in this day, we can't get answers.

Yes, then we they do rtelease them, they will be on backorder til spring ! Lol

NOT THE DEALERS FAULT AT ALL.
Yamaha Has their head in their a$$. NO part numbers listed anywhere for SW's yet. Hell we called Yamaha Parts tech and they can't give us any numbers yet on any parts. WTF!!

i have one on ,but the dx shield looks like the best shield for cold canada and maine riding .ps no pictures .

Some of those tall shields we are seeing might be too tall for 110mph +

If I ever get my Rtx Le I will be sanding the back of the windshield and spraying it with flat black paint. This gives the front a gloss look. Should look nice with some blue and black Yamaha hand guards.

Do you clear coat it and tape the entire front off too?

I think he is referring to the one that is no longer available as per Yamahas press release a couple of weeks back......

Why does the Sidewinder S-TX DX not come with a tall windshield and mirrors as originally explained on the Yamaha website?
Further testing revealed that the increased top speed of the Sidewinder S-TX DX resulted in the need for a shorter windscreen to increase rigidity and durability. The correct Sidewinder S-TX DX specification is for a mid-level windscreen without mirrors.

Based of that picture I would say not. Looks like it attaches to the hood.

Is Picture 2 and 3 changed Place? The way i see it is that the windshield on Picture 3 is lower than the windshield on Picture 2 ?

I would not count on the SMA-8LR96-30-00 #3 for this season. at best will see by the end of February. Est Date to Yamaha 2/15/17.
I doubt they will even make since the STX is not coming with it.
