was able to touch 130 speedo ,115.8 mph radar.
This is on bare ice.Snow may be different.

I was told by a salesman that sells Simmons & C&A skis that the Simmons still push through the corners on the Attak & Warrior!
Any thoughts?

I think any ski that has an arc with the carbides on the edges can push in the right conditions because of snow building up in the center and actually lifting the carbides up off the trail surface. I put very few miles on my Simmons last season and didn't notice any push. But the few times I rode the sled the conditions were perfect hard pack. In those conditions the ski's turned like they were on rails.COLDONE said:I was told by a salesman that sells Simmons & C&A skis that the Simmons still push through the corners on the Attak & Warrior!

Any ski AT ALL can push in the right conditions.
If you loose top speed, gain it back by getting the skis off the ground. More transfer.

I only run C&A's. I have tried the Simmons before, they are also a good ski, but the C&A outhandles the Simmons in all conditions that I ride. I have used all the different models of C&A's, the new Outlaws are surely the way to go though. The new step keel design really works.

Simmons Skis are the bomb, I have them on my 05 Venture and my 06 appex GT.
If your going for top speed install mini skis but don't think your going around any corners.
The reality is we don't ride at top speed anyway so it really doesn't matter.

They don't push any more than the stock skis, they float in the deep, and they haven't tried to kill me (the stock ones tried, but failed - see, they can't even do that right). I haven't tried any other skis... no reason to.

The push in the corners at high speeds is what I'm wanting to stop if possible, plus more flotation!!!!!!
I'm thinking Yamaha mountain skis with Doolys!?

Doolys will push too. Go with the Simmons or C A's. I run the Simmons on my 03 shorty with Stud Boy shaper bars and have push only during slushy spring conditions, but they all push then. If you want an aggressive keel that sinks in and bites on hardpack, its gonna sink in even more in the fluffy stuff. Simmons offer a good balance of both, and don't dart... period.
