Has anyone tried ski scratchers on Nytro stock skis? My drivers are really bad and before I change them I would like to find a solution to the problem. I have scratchers on the rails but I really don't think they help much or maybe they need to be mounted farther up the rails, but I thank ski scratchers would be better.

Thanks

I ran a set on the inside of my Slydogs at the end of last year and they worked great.I have a short track so mounting them in the skid wasnt an option. To me mounting them there didnt make sense.Having them on the skis the snow is sprayed directly at the front of the rails where the most heat occurs. To mount them I drilled a piece of angle iron that bolted to the front 2 carbide runner studs and mounted the scratcher to the side of that.My last 3 trail rides were on almost solid ice and I had no over heating issues or melting hyfax.I do have extra wheels in my skid but after 2000 miles of not so good condition my sliders look like new.
