Hi , What do you guys run for your toe out ? I have a attak with the wide pilot skis on it I run 1/4" toe out with no bungie cord just sitting on the gerage floor. Still get mild darting but very good steering. Should I set more toe out to improve the mild darting?

Where did you get the 0 toe figure. You must be a very sensitive guy to be able to tell the difference in 1/4 " toe.

simmions and pilots skis should be set dead nuts strait with your track unless you got slop in your steering

I set my SImmons at 1/4 inch toe out and have no darting. Use Bergstrom 8" on inside and 4"on outside, tripple points. Scott B suggested I use the 1/4" toe out.

Umm, well check around before you jump all over a guy. Dual runner skis are recommended BY THE MANUFACTURER (came in my setup instructions direct from Simmons) to be run with ZERO toe. If you can't tell the difference with 1/4 in of toe, your sled is out to lunch. 1/4in. is a BIG difference in tracking characteristics. :ORC The reason to run toe out is to prevent darting, but dual runners do that with multiple runner lines. Running toe out scrubs off speed, and is NOT NEEDED with dual runner skis.

mike, simmons says 0 toe out in the insturctions. thats where i run them seem fine. you need a straight edge along side the track to set your parallelism.

I will have to set it to zero for this weekend and see if I notice any change in handeling. At a minimum, I would hope for better carbide wear.
Thanks Jim.

my pilots seem to dart a bit but not to bad, they have been set at 1/4 toe out since I put them on , I read this thread yesterday and decided to try them at 0 toe out or dead nuts straight if you will,in my estimation they seemed about the same a little bit of darting but not excessive by no means , so i think I will leave them at 0 toe out maybe I will find that extra 5mph I have been looking for.
