Ski Toe

I believe 1/8" toe out.

I need to check mine. My sled darts like crazy with my 5.7 pilots. I've thought about adding navigators, but I'm not sure they will help.

With SnowTrackers under my Pilot 6.9's there is zero darting. Toe-in when running Trackers is required to be at zero. I'm unsure what the spec is for other ski/runner combo's.

If you soften the dampening on the front shocks a bit that will help also.

My 6,9s with Deuces and Navigators were quite twitchy and darty too. Then my Navigators broke off, yep, they broke off at the stud and went by by. I had them toed out 1/8 - 1/4”. Didn’t matter they still needed a death grip on the bars. Not as good as I remember them being. Navigators or no Navigators, it didn’t matter, sled never felt right like I remember when I put them on.

I’ve now installed my Doo 5.7Race skis which are single keel with aggressive snow trackers and life is really good. No mere death grip needed. They just plain work.

When I put my 6.9 s on had darting at low speed fixed toe darting gone

I have Pilot 5.7's and run a total toe out measurement of 1/4". (Pilots have a handy spot molded into the ski to take measurements from forward and aft of the spindle mounting)

Tuners you want toe out. 1/4-1/2 inch. Hard to say exactly as there is always some play in the front end of a sled. They will hunt and dart like crazy otherwise.

With the hoops pulled tight with a bungee, 3/8 toe out for curves works for me.

With any Pilot(Darting) Be sure to shim them to get the nose up. Pilots are famous for poor design IMO that sits nose down. Shims will help with the darting on pilots, along with 1/8'' toe out AT THE TWO MEASUREMENT POINTS provided on inside leg of each ski. And ofcourse good suspension setup up front.

For a NO DARTING sled entirely, sno-trackers are needed. I have not liked trackers in certain conditions though, so I will take the trade off.

Usually all ski/carbide setups are a compromise, so choose which is most important to you.

For the C&A XPT's I just installed they list 3/8th toe out so I set it at that.
