So here's a thought. The two screws it calls for at the tunnel, leaving those out may give access for water to escape. Although leaving them out when in powder the track spin may fill the area. In which case is more better. Those screws are the last ones I have to put in. And my guess is I'm over thinking it.

Put them in. I have had no issues with Ice or water hurting anything with the OEM skid. It works great!
