Ok i drive a 08 Phazer MTX.
Now i need to know what sled would be the best for me i like speed hittin drifs powder and also cruising down the creeks in about 6 inches of snow.
I want a short track.
Im thinking of the Nytro but i wanna know what the weight different is because the phazer is abit to top heavy for me because i only weigh around 115 pounds.
I dont know how my dad would like the 1000cc either.
What would the 1000 compare to in power to weight ratio in a 2 stroke a 700?

I am still waiting to see the new XTX with tip up rails. I have been to 2 Yammi rides but both were cancelled due to lack of snow. I am still not sure if I like the way forward position. I would buy this for a play sled and keep the RX's for serious riding. I can't see doing 500 mile days on those new sleds.

How old are you, Kid? 115 lbs. and your Dad doesn't want you on a 1000? I am thinking of trading my Attack for a Phazer. Gain some wieght and stay with what you have!

lol i am but im getting new skis and suspension and a 1.5 inch track cuz i dont wanna wreck it when i go trail riding i see the paddles are already bending. And i didnt want a diff one because of the sled i like it but i want a short track cuz i dont go to the mountains and lately weve only been getting a foot of snow. So yeah thats what im doin thanks for the imput!

Look around for an old elan

Haha, thinking about that makes me laugh, a buddy of mine has a elan that his youngest daughter uses, she only rides once a year for about 25 minutes at a time. He has kept it in mint condition, lots of guys around here pester him to sell it to them, but he won't do it.

I have put many miles on the Phazers (121 and 144). When I wanted a Yamaha for myself I test rode both the Nytro and The Ape 121's.

I didn't like the Nytro because it handled much like the top heavy, unstable Phazer. It is very quick though and has a sweet motor obviously.

The Ape is much more stable and obviously has a killer motor but isn't quite the jumping, mogul monster a Nytro could be.

As far as I'm concerned every kid should spend at least 3 seasons riding a 12 elan. When I was 13 a 500cc sled was the biggest and fastest on the snow. Spending several years on an Elan really makes you learn to ride.

I'll second this ;)!

Well I am 15 and i got the Nytro for the up coming season. But I started on a sno-scoot when i was about 6 or 7 then when i was about 9 or 10 i got a bravo. Next i got a 380 legend two years later. Next it a was rev mxz 550 x for the past two years. It really all depends on expernice and skill

The crazy thing is that a 16 year old can buy/insure/ride/die on one of the world's fastest machines out of the box: A crotch rocket.
I've owned a few and they still get the blood flowing everytime I'm out.
These things are hitting 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds stock.

That's the problem with the laws go from nothing to anything with motor at any size

I would support a graduated liscence program 100%. Until you have at least 2 years with a bike licence you should be restricted in engine size.
