First ride out sled woudn't rev past 9000 rpm. I stopped shut her off and I noticed the coolant leaking out (see other post) so i was pissed about that. Got back on Voila its running perfect! Has full rip and revs right at 10,000 where I want it! Then it got hot again so I shut it down and let it cool till it was warm to the touch. Started up and bog is back?!?
Carbs were cleaned twice now, it idles perfect at 1350 rpm, I'm thinking really nasty gas. I had about a gallon of old stabil fuel and I topped off with 8 gallons of fresh 87.
Since its intermittant should I struggle through the first tank and see how it goes or pull the carbs off again? I do have some race fuel and kicking myself I didn't put in about 2 gallons before the fill up. Thanks for the help

Try some Seafoam, I went through this last year & it was aggravating. 3 trips to the UP would run OK in the garage put it on the trailer get up there and go 1 mile and BBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOO and limp back. Break out spare sled (always have back up!) Finally got pissed enough, took it to my dealer swapped out my pilot jets and VROOOM.
Needless to say, she ran great to the end of the season, last day, last ride 4 PM Kapow. Rod through the block. It was like one of those story book endings where the King makes the last kill in the long battle his mighty stead drops to its knees, the King realizes the horse had taken a spear early in the battle but stayed with him till the end.
HA HA mine weighed 600 lbs. and was almost 13 miles from a road where we could pick her up and the snow had melted exposing the bare cinders of the railroad grade. Could have at least blown when I was putting her on the trailer.
