So went for a good ride today just shy of 250 miles. Worked great other them my nos switch not working for some reason. But yeah came home went inside for the hours forgot to turn my bottle heater of. Went to start it wouldn't start boosted it. It ran drive about for hundred feet it just died out. Towed it in. Charged it for five mins and same thing happened four times. spits and sputters back fires misses, then dies. put a new battery so illiminates that issue. tried a proven working voltage regulator. im running out of ideas.

Does the fuel pump run when you turn the key on? The backfiring sounds like a fuel/fuel pressure issue.
Make sure you hear the fuel pump running, and you may have to take the fuel cap off and hold your ear near the tank opening to hear it. If you don't hear anything, try the relay first.
Also, how do you have your bottle heater wired? Is it "t"'d into anything, run on a relay, etc, etc? If that heater pulls enough current, it's possible that it ran long enough to wear the battery down before the wire/fuse was warm enough to blow a fuse?

yes pump is fine, sled will run and idle no problem till warm up. and the heater has its own relay hard wired to the battery. all my fuses i checked were fine, and so are the relays. like itll start fine untill its warm then i get issues

Did you charge your new battery at the correct amp or with an electronic charger for at least 12 hours? If not you may not have any juice in that battery. What voltage is the battery holding? Too low voltage will cause the ECU to do stupid things.

It was the ecu. New one coming in tomorrow.

Not sure I've heard of too many ecu's going bad, I was wondering that when you posted you had a new one coming..
Do you get any trouble codes, or does the instrument cluster do anything wierd when it dies?
I'm a bit baffeld myself, would you have a way to post a video, that shows what it's doing?
If there's no check engine codes, not warning lights or anything, and it's stumbles, misses, backfires and dies, I'm thinking you're going to have to work on testing a few sensors, and possibly testing fuel pressure when running, and/or look into the ignition side of things. If it is backfiring right before it dies, I'm wondering if it might not be the crank sensor. That might explain why it runs when cold, and when it gets warm it malfunctions. Generally speaking, electrical resistance(s) and weak or failing sensors can manifest themselves easier with heat.
Describe with as much detail as you can (or post a vid showing it having the issue) what the instruments are doing, how long it runs before shutting down, if it simply backfires, stumbles and dies very quickly, or if it struggles to stay runing for a little while before giving up, or whatever?
I've got the service manual here by the computer and can look up whatever you need and try to help you get it sorted out!
Do you have a good multimeter? Something with ohms? Also a Vaccuum/pressure gauge? You might need a few basic diagnostic tools.

i have no ignition pulse to the spark plug coils, the sled wont start at all. id post a video, but all that will happen is the sled turn over and over from the starter. help would greatly be appreciated. Tested the crank sensor it had the proper ohms reading.

It sounds like a relay going bad. When they warm up they act up. If it were me I would replace the relay..
