Which one? I have 6
FIRST OFF BEFORE I GET INTO IT, I WOULD LIKE TO THANK CHRIS REIDand YAMAHA CANADA FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SAMPLE THE 06 RIDES. THEY PROVIDED A FIRST CLASS EVENT NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN.
NOW LETS GET DOWN TO THE "NITTY GRITTY"
I WILL TRY AND BE THOROUGH AND COVER ALL ASPECTS OF THE RIDES. IF ANY ONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE FEAL FREE AND ASK.

TECHNICAL

SOME OF THE QUESTIONS REGUARDING THE FUEL INJECTION WILL HAVE TO BE ANSWERED AT A LATER DATE. TECH. REGARDEING O2 SENSORS, ALTITUDE COMPESATION ETC ETC ETC WILL BE FORWARDED BY YAMAHA AND WE WILL BE ABLE TO GET THE DETAILS SOON, AS PROMISED BY CHRIS.

PERFORMANCE

WOW, THE FUEL INJECTION PERFORMED FLAWLESS. BELEVE IT OR NOT THEY ARE EVEN SMOOTHER THAN THE FIRST GENERATION GENESSIS. GREAT THROTLE RESPONCE AND EASY STARTING IN COLD WEATHER. NO CHOKE AND ONE TURN OF THE NEW FANCEY KEY. ONCE THESE MOTORS GET BROKEN IN THEY WILL ROCK.

:4STroke:

RIDES

APEX/ATTACK MODELS.

WHEN I FIRST SAW THE NEW MODELS IN PICTURES I THOUGHT............ HERE WE GO AGAIN. ANOTHER RIDER FORWARD POSTION. :o|

NOT

121" CATIGORY

APEX

HAVING BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO SAMPLE THE REV AND FUSION, YAMAHA HAS FOUND A HAPPY MEDIUM HERE. HIGH ENOUGH TO HANDEL AND ROCK THROUGH THE ROUGH STUFF (MAKING STAND UP EASY) AND LOW ENOUGH TO CRUZZ ALL DAY COMFERTABLLY. HANDELING WITH THE NEW FRONT SPINDLES AND CHASSIS HAS IMPROVED TREMENDOSLLY. IT HANDELS THE NEW SEATING POSTION GREAT. AND DOES NOT FEEL TIPPY IN THE CORNERS.
HAVING TRYED THE 3 DIFFERENT MODELS ONE AFTER ANOTHER I WILL HAVE TO SAY THAT THE RTX GETS MY ;)!
THE FOX AIR SHOCKS COMBINED WITH THE MONO SKID SIMPLY ROCK IN THE TRAILS. WHAT I DID NOT LIKE IS THE WINDSHIELDS. TOO COLD FOR ME. BUT THEY DO LOOK COOL.

IN THE 136 CATIGORY

ATTACK

THIS SLED IS DAY AND NIGHT DIFFERENT THAN THE WARRIOR. THE EXTENDED 136 MONO WORKS EXCELLENT PROVIDING MUCH NEEDED TRANSFER TO THIS MODEL. SUPRISINGLLY ENOUGH THE ATTACK IS NOT THAT MUCH MORE TO HANDLE IN THE TRAILS. OUT OF ALL THE NEW MODELS THE ATTACK IS MY FAV. ;)! I THINK WITH THE LONG TRACK YOU GET BETTER BRIDGING IN THE RUFF AND YOU CAN CRUZZ AT HIGH SPEEDS A LOT MORE STABLE.

RS/VECTOR/RAGE/NITRO MODELS

SLIGHTLLY OVERSHADOWED BY THE APEX/ATTACK LINE BUT STRONG PERFORMERS.LOOK OUT "600 CLASS" HERE ARE SOME SERIOUS RUNNERS.

VECTOR

ALONG WITH THE NEW SKID THE VECTOR HAS IMPROVED. GONE IS THE CLUTCH NOISE EVERYONE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT. PERSONALLY I LIKE LAST YEARS SKID IN THIS SLED. A GREAT TRAIL SLED

VECTOR GT

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT WANT A GREAT TRAIL SLED WITH SERIOUS CAPABILITYS, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU. THE SHOCKS ARE GOOD ENOUGH THAT YOU CAN RIDE HARD IN THE ROUGH, AND CRUZZ ALL DAY COMFORTABLLY. BEST OVERALL PERFORMER IN THE 120HP CLASS ;)! .

NITRO

YOU GUYS ASKED FOR IT.................................NOW YOU GOT IT.

THIS IS ONE GREAT BUMP SLED. ;)! IF YOU LIKE A STAND UP RIDE THE NITRO IS IT. THE LOW MOUNTED ENGINE, THE HIGHER SEAT, THE DIFFERENT CLUTCHING AND GEARING MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN.

THIS IS ONE FUN SLED

THE TORQUE AND RIDE ON THIS MODEL MAKE IT A BLAST TO HAMMER IN THE ROUGH. VERY STABLE...EVEN STANDING IN THE CORNERS....ITS FLAT (UNLIKE THE REV). YOU CAN THROUGH IT AROUND AND FLY, EVEN WITH ME ON IT (5'11 1/2 210LBS) THE SHOCK AND SKID COMBO WORK GREAT TOGETHER FOR THIS KIND OF RIDING. REMEMBER, THIS IS NOT A CRUZZING MACHINE. COMPARED TO THE GT YOU MIGHT LOOSE SOME TOP END BUT THE SMILE ON YOUR FACE WILL SURE MAKE UP FOR IT. THIS SLED IMPRESSED ME THE MOST. ;)!

RAGE

UNFORTUNATLLY THERE WAS NO RAGE TO SAMPLE IN OUR RIDE AT THIS TIME.

R/S VENTURE

HAVING HAD MANY TOURNING SLEDS IN THE PAST I CAN HONESTLLY SAY ONE WORD "CADILLAC" WITH ENOUGH POWER AND GEARING TO POP A WHEELLY AND PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE THIS IS ONE SERIOUS TOURING MACHINE. THE MOTORS IS SOOOOOOOOOO QUIET ALL YOU HERE IS THE TRACK NOISE.(HINT FOR YAMAHA) THE 144 PROVIDES SO MUCH BRIDGING AND BUMP ABSORPTION IT IS SILLY. YOU FEAL A NUDGE IN THE SKID AND YOU LOOK BACK ONLY TO SEE A GREAT BIG MOGUL THAT YOU JUST HAMMERED. FRONT END FEALS LIGHT AND THE SLED IS VERY WELL BALANCED OVER ALL. ONLY THING I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IS A WIDER SKI WITH BETTER FLOATATION AND POSSIBBLY A 150 FUELLY AS AN OPTION (HINT FOR YAMAHA).

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU GUYS IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND MAKES YOUR DECISION EASYER. GET READY CAUSE YAMAHA IS ON THE MOVE.............I HAVE BEEN TOLD, BUT SPARED NO DETAILS AT THE RIDE.............."YOU THINK THIS YEAR IS GREAT.........WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR. THERE ARE MORE SURPRIZES COMING" WHAT A WAY TO END A GREAT DEMO RIDE. KEEP ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT TILL NEXT YEAR......THANKS CHRIS

AND A SPECIAL THANKS TO TOM FOR GIVING ME A SPOT IN THE CANADIAN SECTOR OF TY DEMO RIDE.:rocks:

GOT MY WARRIOR JUST WERE I LIKE IT FOR RIDING. I THINK I'M IN FOR A NITRO. I NEED A GOOD BUMP SLED. ;)!

Another good report and another ;)! for the Attak :D
You guys are making me feel like I made the right decision picking the Attak

Can't wait for someone to give us feedback on the Apex Mtn! :(

this reports just makes me feel that the report we gave and the sled we drove where as we said ....awesome!!!

You guys are killin' me! I may have to cough up some $$ and get an Apex...

Great post George!
I wish that I could have experienced it first hand. After talking to to you today I have the itch again. I also have my Warrior at a point that it is the best sled that I have ever owned. After the bench racing and attending Dave Grants turbo seminars lol, I think a turbo Attak is the sled for me. Since replacing the RX1 with this Warrior I have grown to love the long track. I understand that Rick and Dave have orders for 3 Turbo Apex GT's already! That says alot for the new model and the reliability of the Turbo. Mabey we will hook up Saturday.

You guys can all get turbos if you want. Fact of the matter is, I've had mine for two seasons, and I still have a few tricks up my sleave.LOL

Seeya when you get there. ;)!

I will share, handeling tips, skid tips, clutch tips, tunning tips, etc etc etc but when it comes to speed tips..........it costs money, so bring your wallet. Cause whoever gets there last pays. 8)
