Things have gotten better. I got a 100 mph out of it today,so I guess things are getting acquainted in the sprocket area.
I have no slider wear. I loosened my track one turn
on the adjuster bolts and if you have snow there should
be no wear. You need snow for lube.
In case your wondering on my LTX if using a fish scale
I'm at 2" and if track is just free hanging its 7/8"

Also on my 2008 Vector Ltx I had 4900 miles and
the sliders were like new. I put on bigger idler wheels and used ice scratchers when snow conditions turned hard. The only draw back I had with the larger wheels was when traveling on a rippled trail it would feed back into the tunnel and the whole sled would vibrate
