I recently ordered the ski-doo pilot skis for my apex gt but i'm very concerned about the problem some guys are having with their durability.I don't want anything that is harder to steer and was wondering if anyone has tried the slt skis on an apex and what your feelings were about them.
Utilize them on my Warrior and Apex GT great skis,
Run 144 by 1.325 down the middle. Never even wasted my time with the stock skis, they never seen snow sold both sets.

GT man, Why trade one oem ski for another? Generally,The best aftermarket skis are much better than oems. Depending on what handling characteristics and application your looking for; C&A, SLP,USI,Simmons and SLYDOG all have great skis. The negative is , you have to do your research to find what's best for you.Studdog

Comparing apples to applesauce, but after trying several different options, SLT's SLP skis were one of the single best things I've done to my '03 F7 in 9500 miles! – Roy

Both tests I used a 3/16" shimmed snubber. I found little difference with the pilot as the center keel is in charge on hard pack....just like the stocker. The SLT with the mount all the way back worked well. The darting is still detectable while declerating hard with brake at high speeds and on tracked up hardpack. But with the SLT it was managable and acceptable. You must realize that its hard to offset the weight that sits over the skiis on the apex, especially with the mono and its lack of center force adjustment. My carbides were slightly worn 5" trailblazers.
