SLP Track/Hifax Anti-wear pads or fully clipped track

Got 900 miles on my SLP Anti-wear Pads and the verdict is ---------- they frickin work - SWEEEET. Have an 05 RS Venture and after 900 miles have only lost 1.5 mm of hyfax. Last year on 3 different sets of hyfaxes I had lost over 5mm of hyfax at 900 miles. I know, I know that I've made posts telling everyone to be patient, that the slides start to last a long time after 5mm BUT WHO HAS THE PATIENCE - GET the anti-wear pads boys and get some peice of mind.

This only proves that Comoplast or Yamaha is at fault in the design of Ripsaw track. Who do I send the bill to?

3 sets of hyfaxes - $90
Labor to install - $90
Anti-wear pads - $27
Labor to install - $50
Wear and tear on the brain - $50,000

I put the anti-wear pads on and rode with them for the first time last week. I went 200 miles and the hyfax look like brand new! My last set of hyfax only lasted 98 miles. Big improvement and well worth the $20 investment.

Do these come as a "kit" or do you have to order the exact number you need/want?

I used a 1/4 regular drill bit and it worked fine. I'm glad you guys are getting some test miles in. Not much riding in Vermont.

Great, thanks for the info guys. I think I'm going to get myself setup with these anti-wear pads.

Thanks NY_Warrior for the info. I think I will order a set for the rage so when it snows out I will be ready to play in the snow. ;)! :rocks: :yam:

Put another 900 miles on in great snow conditions and didn't lose any hifax with my SLP pads. That's 1700 miles and only 1.5mm lost, at this rate I should get 9,000 miles on this set of faxes.

was gonna open up the holes with a hot razor knife tonite but the wife's going into work tonite :o| oh well..somebody haz to pay for my toyz!!! :D ;)!

as also going to put in the 2" clutch guard vents like Yama Crazy did - real simple install and will really help in cooling down the clutch!
